Shiro powder is used to make shiro wot, Ethiopia's national dish. This is the stew you will find on every dinner table in every Ethiopian household up and down the country. It is mild and has a lovely creamy texture.
This Shiro blend is made with roasted Ethiopian chickpeas, yellow peas, fava beans, and a bouquet of fresh herbs and sun-dried spices. It's also called mitten shiro because it contains a little bit of berbere, giving it a lively orange colour. This dish will make your beyaynetu (platter with various dishes) complete. It's easy to make and ready in no time at all. There are two shiro recipes in the ebook and a quick shiro recipe here on the website.

Reviews
I usually rely on my mum to send me Ethiopian products from home, so I rarely purchase them locally. However, when I do, Amaarech's products are my top choice. I recently bought Amaarech's shiro blend, and it was delicious. The blend is perfectly balanced and flavourful, making it easy to prepare. I highly recommend it and will definitely be buying it again!
